birthday boy -o- boy!

I have been in major denial that our last baby is turning five!
I couldn't even bring myself to make party invitations.
Instead we threw a really random party together a couple of days before we had it.
I didn't even book tables at the local pool, as you are supposed to.

This total lack of origination didn't seem to bother the boy, who had a fabulous time.
He was as usual surrounded by his favourite girls, all seven of them.
He number one girl's big brother gate crashed the party, which was good a little more testosterone didn't hurt.

Happy happy birthday our sweet boy.
Five already, it doesn't seem real, you got to here so very fast!

Button Fairy's Party Day!

Ella's Birthday is Christmas Day!
So we have a "Party Day" around this time of year, when the weather is good.
And when her friends are around and not on holiday.

We still have a tiny family party Christmas afternoon, but it is so much more fun with your friends!

Happy Party Day Button!

my button fairy is very helpfull!

The sewing machine has been getting a serious work out just of late.
Making tiny fairy and Pixie sized bunting!

Which was then winded onto card.
The Button Fairy helped!

Small boxes were also painted.
Again the Button fairy helped!

Lables were made and attached.
Still the Button fairy helped!

And stuffed with goodies.
By... you guessed it the Button fairy!

While I downed lots of hot fresh tea.
For tomorrow will be a very big day!

planes, parties, & computer virus!

We have had a very busy fortnight.
When we arrived home from Wanganui we found that our PC had a nasty virus, and it has taken nearly a week for Phil to sort it out.

Thankfully he knows how to deal to these things!

So, to rewind a couple of weeks.

Firstly Nanna arrived home from Fiji, incredibly brown and looking rested!

She had a fantastic time away, doing nothing but baking herself in the sun and cooling down with lots of cocktails!

The munchkins were very happy to see her and enjoyed having her to stay for a few days (more on that later...), before we all headed to Wanganui for Oliver's third birthday.

So the smallish boy is now three!
And he had a marvelous day, really how many kids get not only one but two birthday cakes on the same day!

And his much wanted, and long awaited Woody.
Which has not left his side since his arrival!

He also received a whole lot of other wonderful gifts from family and friends.
Which he also loves especially the noisy ones, and ones he can bang things with, (thanks to Nanna, for the wooden tool set!).
I will get some decent pictures over the holidays and post later.
Our camera has been on the fritz as you can see from Ollie’s birthday photos, which are terrible.

So thanks heaps to every one who helped make a small boy hugely happy!

party on, again!

Saturday I took Ella to another birthday party.
This time it was for her friend from kindy Big Miss K’s little brother Q.
Q turned the big 2 and Big Miss K was allowed to invite some of her friends to keep her company.
SM (K & Q’s Mum) and lovely family put on a fantastic event; the kids had an awesome time, especially the wee birthday boy!

The party was held at the local Play Center, and having it there was a brilliant idea.
The place is completely stocked with in and outdoor toys.
A complete kitchen and BBQ.
SM’s husband and brother were in charge of cooking a load of sausages on the barby.
Ella ate three!

SM also made goo and play dough for the kids to entertain themselves with.

This is the Birthday Cake Ella made for Big Miss K.

And we covered biscuits in chocolate icing, and other yummy stuff.

Ella and Big Miss K enjoyed climbing the tree, and hanging out together.

Sadly there was a bit of rain, not that it bothered anyone.
But I was ready for a very hot cup of tea to help defrost once we were home.

Thanks for a great Day SM; we hope Q and Big Miss K like their prezzies.

party on!

Yesterday we all went to Ella’s friend, the little big boy’s birthday party.

There was a break in the wet weather, well done on the timing of that M and P.
The kids had a wonderful time, especially the birthday boy!

I have to say that M and P plan a great party, there weren’t any tantrums or tears, considering the manic fun that was happening!

The Thomas piƱata was a hit, especially all the loot inside.

And the little bubble blowers also.
Oliver slept with his, and today hasn’t put it down.

And the wee blue puppy finally met his new owner, such joy from both of them!

On a knitting note; fantastic job on completing Little Miss K’s cardigan M.
She looks soooo adorable, and snugly.

Watch out P, now that your wife has turned to the dark side, and is in the addictive grip of the knitting bug!!!!
Perhaps a second job to pay for the knitting fund is necessary?

Now I off to visit Miss Moore, to teach her how to knit on double points.
She is knitting a hat, for her husband to be.

I hope she has a big hot pot of tea ready, it’s freezing and wet today.
