it's in the bag!

Today is my blogiversary.

One year all ready!
I nearly missed it, but then remembered that I have a little giveaway to celebrate.

So just because I think I'm oh so clever...

"What's in the bag?"

So all you need to do is answer this two part question :

"Where do we spend our Summer Holidays?"
and for the fun factor - "What is in the bag?"

You can e-mail me your answer (address link under 'Welcome' in my side bar), or just in the comments.
And lets say I will draw a winner in a weeks time.

Thanks to you all who take the time to drop by for a visit, I hope you enjoy sharing with our little family.

Note : sorry but the bag is a much loved one of Ella's so isn't part of the giveaway.

how does your garden grow?

Ours is growing very slowly!

With the usual suspects...

beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, carrots (all season, baby, purple haze and rainbow selection), cauliflower (white and purple), celery, garlic...

leeks, lettuce, parsley, rosemary, sage, silverbeat, spinach, spring onions and peas.

Ella likes eating the parsley picked straight off the plant.
I wonder what else she will eat straight out of the garden?

I remember eating radishes, dirt and all from Mums garden when I was only five.
I don't like radishes now, how about you, what do you like eating just picked from the garden?

Mothers Day!

I hope all the Mums out there are having or had a wonderful Mothers Day.

This year our Mums were sent some lovely "Linden Leaves - Gold Shimmer Dust".

I think it is perfect to brighten you up on a cold and wet winters day.

And I was very spoiled with a beautiful new knitting book:

and a packet of seeds for the garden:

I am pretty sure the seeds were paid with my darling Buttons pocket money, so they are extra special.

And yes I have already got yarn to knit that sweater on the cover for Ella, and this vest for Oliver:

Thank you my Munchkins for a lovely day!

left with the lads!

Yesterday Button flew the coop with Auntie Toni and Nanna.

They have gone North for some warmer weather.
And are staying here with Miss May!

Button insisted she take something to thank Auntie May for looking after them all.

I think she did quite well selecting this nice 'Boots' Body Shimmer Compact.
I might just have to get one for myself!

So I have been left with these two:

I am gonna need loads of cups of tea to get through the week!
